Deceunick NV is a group specialized in compounding, design, development, extrusion, finishing and recycling for the building industry, having achieved a turnover of 662.5 Euros and integrated in the worldwide. The Group is active in 75 countries, has 31 subsidiaries in production and/or sales, and employs 2,900 persons, 710 of whom are based in Belgium.

This group operates factories and offices in Germany, USA, Australia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Croatia, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia and Thailand.

The origins of the Deceuninck family go back to the year 1937 in Roeselare.

Benari Deceuninck, the family’s grandfather, started a sole proprietorship to manufacture plastic buttons and buckles as his first step into his passion for excellence.

In the period 1941 to 1964, the sole proprietorship was reorganized and the company began to manufacture plastic combs and boxes. Its equipment pool was expanded for production of packaging materials and plastic toys. The brothers Roger, Lionel and Michel Deceuninck took over management. The company chose to explore a new direction in plastics productions and started Demaplast to manufacture roller shutters and windows in 1965. 1968 saw the company to move its extrusion line from Roeselare to Gits in Hoogle and turned out to be the beginning of its real journey i.e. manufacturing of the first window profiles. It established a branch in France in 1970, followed by branches in the U.K. and Spain, to grow stage by stage. A new extrusion line was started up in 1987.  its range was expanded with the Mondial and Decoroc series. The company acquired several subsidiaries and obtained a ISO 9001 certificate in 1995. Michel and Lionel Deceuninck, two of the founding partners of Deceuninck Group, passed away in 1998 and 1999 respectively. The Group made a good investment by becoming a partner of Ege Profil A.Ş. in Turkey and increased its shareholding there in 2001. Two years later, Deceuninck Group acquired Thyssen Polymer GmbH and achieved to be the global leader of this industry. After acquiring a shareholding of Detajoint, a TPE seal manufacturer based in Belgium, Deceuninck began to manufacture and market the Zendow series of products. Roger Deceuninck’s son Arnold and Michel Deceuninck’s son Willy joined the Group to make it stronger. Roger Deceuninck, the last founding partner of the Group, passed away in 2004. In the same year, the Group received the Enterprise of the Year trophy from HRH Prince Philippe and Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt.
